To celebrate our biggest anti-fur campaign yet, on Friday December 7th, 2012 we will be throwing the first annual Fur Never Fashion Party. This will be a ticketed event intended to celebrate the launch of our Toronto subway ad campaign, complete with vegan hors d’oeuvres and desserts, as well as live models and art installations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for approximately $5000 in prizes. All proceeds will go towards furthering our 2012/2013 campaign efforts.

We are thrilled to announce our featured guests for the evening. Vaute Couture is an American vegan fashion company run by animal lover Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart. Her winter collection has everyone talking, because not only is her work beautiful, she also uses cutting edge weatherproof recycled and recyclable fabrics, and local construction (in Brooklyn, NY). The line is currently self and community funded, and the first season’s production run was entirely funded by customer preorders. Vaute Couture is proof that you can look elegant, be warm, and be a friend to animals!

We couldn’t be happier that Leanne has enthusiastically agreed to join forces for the first annual Fur Never Fashion Party during Vaute’s visit to Toronto in December as part of their North American Fall Fashion Tour. It will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase the functionality and beauty of cruelty-free fashion while providing support for our campaign.
